Business Accounts

Defender Syndicate supplies garages, fleet operators, farms, and other trade customers with Land Rover parts and workshop services on a business account. Business accounts run on automatic payment: orders you place are charged to your saved payment method as they're processed, so parts ship without waiting for a payment step. The terms below explain how that works — they apply to all business account customers alongside our standard terms and conditions.

1. Opening a business account

Business accounts are available to VAT-registered businesses, sole traders, and organisations that regularly buy Land Rover parts or book workshop services with us. To apply, contact us with your business name, address, company or VAT number, and expected monthly spend. We may carry out credit and identity checks, and we can decline or close an account at our discretion.

2. Automatic payment — how it works

When your account is opened you provide a payment method — a payment card or agreed direct debit — which is stored securely by our payment provider. By keeping a business account with us, you authorise us to charge that payment method automatically for orders you (or your authorised staff) place, without a separate approval step for each order. Charges are taken when an order is processed for dispatch, or for workshop jobs, when the work is completed. Each charge is confirmed to your account email with a VAT invoice.

3. Keeping your payment method current

It's your responsibility to keep a valid payment method on file. If a charge fails we'll notify you and retry; while a balance is outstanding we may hold further orders, and persistent failures may lead to the account being placed on proforma (payment before dispatch) or closed. You can update your payment method at any time by contacting us.

4. Authorised users and disputed charges

Orders placed by anyone you've named on the account — or placed using your account credentials — are treated as authorised by your business and charged accordingly, so keep your user list current and tell us immediately if someone leaves. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us within 14 days of the invoice and we'll investigate; genuine errors are refunded to the same payment method promptly.

5. Trade pricing, returns, and cancellation

Business accounts may receive trade pricing agreed with us in writing; pricing may be reviewed with notice. Business-to-business purchases are not covered by consumer cancellation rights — returns of unused, unfitted parts are accepted at our discretion within 30 days and may carry a restocking charge, while faulty parts are always handled under the manufacturer's warranty and the Sale of Goods provisions that apply between businesses. You can close your account at any time once any outstanding balance is settled, and any stored payment details are then removed.

6. The small print

These business account terms are offered by Defender Syndicate Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17301655) and sit alongside our general terms and conditions, which apply to every order except where these terms say otherwise. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions about your account, an invoice, or a charge? Call 0800 033 4461 or email support@defendersyndicate.com and we'll sort it out.
