Defender Syndicate provides specialist Land Rover servicing, repairs, and upgrades from our workshop in Carnforth, near Lancaster — on the doorstep of the Lake District. We work exclusively on Land Rovers, from classic Series vehicles and Defender 90 and 110 through Discovery 3, 4, and 5 to the latest New Defender and Range Rover models, so your vehicle is looked after by people who know it inside out. Every service comes with an honest written report, every part is backed by our Britpart supply chain, and every job is priced and agreed with you before a spanner is lifted.

A Defender that spends its life on Lakeland farm tracks needs different care to one that tours the motorways. We offer interim, full, and major services tailored to your vehicle's age, mileage, and use — engine oil and filters, fuel and air filters, brake checks and fluid, cooling system, driveline and swivel oils, greasing points, and a thorough underbody inspection (vital up here, where salted winter roads punish chassis and fasteners).

Frequently asked questions
How often should I service my Land Rover Defender?
We recommend a full service every 12 months or 12,000 miles, with an interim oil-and-filter service at 6,000 miles for hard-worked vehicles. Defenders used off-road, for towing, or on salted Lakeland roads in winter benefit from more frequent underbody checks and greasing.
Will servicing at an independent specialist affect my warranty?
No — under UK block exemption rules you're free to have your Land Rover serviced by an independent specialist using quality parts without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the service schedule is followed. We stamp the book and keep full records.
Do you use genuine Land Rover parts?
We fit genuine, OEM, or quality aftermarket parts depending on your preference and budget — all sourced through our Britpart supply chain. We'll always tell you exactly what's being fitted.
Can you collect my Land Rover for servicing?
